Tenuta vinicola Tiefenbrunner, Südtirol, Italy
Our life is wine and has been for generations.
We, Sabine and Christof, are the fifth-generation owners of the Tiefenbrunner Wine Estate and take great pride in our heritage. It is both an honor and a responsibility to carry on the legacy and to continue writing the story of the Tiefenbrunner family, chapter by chapter, year after year, vintage after vintage.
We are a family-owned winery with a rich tradition from Südtirol, working sustainably in our fifth and sixth generation to produce unique, expressive, and characterful wines that reflect the terroir, history and passion of our family. Our award-winning wines have gained recognition both nationally and internationally, showcasing our unwavering dedication to excellence and innovation in every step of the winemaking process.
“Our product lines embody our love for wine, with each one showcasing a unique style and telling a distinctive story.”
Our Classic MERUS wines embody their Latin name, which means “pure and genuine”. Made from grapes sourced from the vineyards in Südtiroler Unterland, located in the southernmost part of the province, these wines are known for their varietal character and natural elegance. Fermented in steel and concrete barrels, the wines are bottled while young and authentic. The result: open, fresh, and approachable wines that are easy to drink.
The selection TURMHOF is named after the historic residence and ancestral seat of our winery, “Castel Turmhof”. The grapes are sourced from several selected hillside vineyards located up to 900 meters above sea level. They remain on the lees for several months, are partly aged in wooden barrels and brought to maturity, with particular attention paid to the sensory complexity of the respective grape variety as well as its structure and elegance.
